Incoming Italy

From 6th to 10th of September, the second "incoming" of the project happened.
We hosted in Italy two guests from India: Mr. Karan Shetty e Mr. Pankaj Sharma. Mr. Shetty and Mr. Sharma are the founder managers of Foxtrot Enterprises, a multinational corporation working in the organic food sector in different asian countries, including India.
Mr. Karan Shetty e Mr. Pankaj Sharma had the chance to visit some of our Italian organic companies, discovering in person the quality of the products and the way of producing.
The first day of the incoming, a information day was held: the relators explained to the guests the organic production methods, the meaning of the European logo and the requirements for getting the European organic certificate.
During the following days, the guests visited:
-a company producing vinegar, as balsamic vinegar of Modena IGP, wine vinegar, apple vinegar, rice vinegar etc.
-a company producing extra virgin and other seeds oil
-a company of pasta
-a company producing wine
Mr. Karan Shetty e Mr. Pankaj Sharma appreciated very much the opportunity to enter the factories of the companies and to see and know the production methods. They also enjoyed the taste and the qualities of the products.
Mr. Shetty and Mr. Sharma espressed their interest in importing the products in India. The only obstacle is the price and the high customs duties for the imported foods.
