Bioagricoop was founded in 1984 as an Undertaking Independent Technical Control and Certification. Since 1985 he became a partner and active part of IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movement), participating constructively in the seminars, the definition of the organic standards in 1996 to become the first company IFOAM accredited for certification of crops, animals, processed products and of wild harvest, the entire Mediterranean Europe.
Bioagricoop in 1993 was recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, which authorized the National Body to the control and certification of organic products (under Reg. 2092/91 by Decree n. ° 17911 / GL / 771) .
Bioagricoop first creates the hallmark Bioagricert for organic products from her certificates and then, for reasons of structural and operational, lays the foundation for the establishment of Bioagricert Ltd. which transfers the control and certification of organic production in August 2002.
Bioagricoop today operates actively in the dissemination and innovation in organic farming both nationally and internationally by promoting various business sectors:
