Born in October 2015, the Italy-Asean Association aims at supporting the dialogue, the mutual understanding and the exchanges between Italy and Asean countries.
The Association is promoted by Fondazione AREL and Osservatorio Asia, and its first President is the Italian former Prime Minister Enrico Letta.
The Italy-ASEAN Association was born with the precise mission of strengthening ties and elucidating reciprocal opportunities for both businesses and institutions.
The rise of the ASEAN in the globalized arena is an opportunity for Italy to widen the number of its country partners. The Association is open to participation by Italian, European, and Asian supporters. Its initiatives will be implemented along three lines of action: events and conferences, economic trade missions, publication of books and reports.
The Association has an ambitious vision: to provide Italy and its “country system” with a tool to understand and work with south-east Asia.
The Italy-ASEAN Association is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ministry of Economic Development and ICE-Italian Trade Promotion Agency.
